Hotels

Whatever style of hotel you desire, we’ll endeavour to provide it. We particularly love to work with the smaller, historic hotels of Norway, rather than large international hotel chains. This not only supports Norwegian local economies but also offers travellers a genuine experience of accommodation traditional to Norway and unique to this part of Scandinavia.

Cabins & apartments

A large part of Norwegian culture is dedicated to the cabin or hytte, the place where Norwegians go to relax. Usually these wooden cabins are situated in stunning scenery, in the mountains or by the sea. Hytte holidays can involve moving from one cabin to the next or simply staying in the same cabin for the duration of the holiday. The type and location of the cabin that you would like to stay in is determined only by the availability and your personal preference.

Self-catering accommodation can also be arranged in apartments. Usually the apartments and some of the cabins we recommend are linked to the hotels we work with: this gives guests the best of both worlds – self-contained accommodation with the option to use the hotel facilities as and when you like.

Stabbur

Many of the boutique hotels in the mountains offer a truly unique type of accommodation, in the converted stabbur. These are two-storey wooden loft houses which, when renovated well, make cosy and beautiful guest rooms.
